Introduction:

This product conforms to the requirements of GB/T19279-2003 "Test Method for Slow Crack Growth Resistance of Polyethylene Pipes" standard for testing equipment. It is widely used and is an essential environmental testing device for the production, research, and testing of polymer materials such as plastics and rubber.

The HT-ZT50 constant temperature chamber provides a constant temperature testing environment within the range of room temperature to 85℃. It is mainly used for temperature regulation of non-metallic materials and to provide a constant temperature environment for testing. When equipped with special experimental devices, it can measure specific test items (such as adding a surfactant solution to the chamber and equipping it with the corresponding test cone to measure the slow crack growth resistance of polyethylene pipes). The constant temperature bath of this product can also be used as an independent testing device to regulate the condition or temperature of various test samples below 85℃.

Principle:

A pipe ring of a specified length is cut from the pipe. A cone is inserted into the pipe ring to maintain a constant strain. A notch is made at one end of the pipe ring. The ring is then immersed in a specified surfactant solution at a temperature of 80℃±1℃. The rate of crack propagation from the notch is measured. This test is applicable to pipes with a wall thickness of 5 mm or less.

Cone parameters:

(1) Material: Brass

(2) A conical mandrel is inserted into the tube ring to maintain constant strain (power unit to be supplied by the customer);

(3) A longitudinal groove is opened at the non-conical end, with dimensions: length L (20±1) mm, width (1±0.2) mm, depth (2±0.2) mm

(4) Cone dimensions: outer diameter D = 1.12 * nominal inner diameter of the pipe (±0.1 mm). When the nominal outer diameter of the pipe is less than or equal to 40 mm, the length H = D (±0.1 mm), and the chamfer R = 4 * nominal inner diameter of the pipe (±2 mm) (the customer provides the dimensions, and the supplier provides the corresponding cone).

Specimen parameters: When the nominal outer diameter of the specimen is less than or equal to 40 mm, the specimen length is 100 ± 5 mm; when the nominal outer diameter is greater than 40 mm, the specimen length is 150 ± 5 mm. Each group consists of 3 specimens, and both ends of the specimens should be cut flat and perpendicular to the axis.

Machining notch parameters: At one end of the tube ring that is fully stretched by the cone, a notch with an axial length of 10 mm ± 1 mm is machined along the entire wall thickness.

Product Structure:

This product mainly consists of: a constant temperature bath, a temperature control system, a circulation system, a conical base, and the cone itself.

1. Constant Temperature Bath: Used to hold solutions and has a heat preservation function.

2. Temperature Control System: Used for adjusting and controlling the temperature inside the bath tub. The maximum temperature inside the bath tub is 85℃.

3. The circulation system is a circulation pump used to achieve liquid uniformity. Its maximum operating temperature is 85℃.

4. The cone is a device used to apply external force to the inner diameter of polyethylene pipes. This product offers SDR series pipe cones, with the model selected by the customer.
