    Usage:This UV accelerated aging test chamber uses imported UVA-340 fluorescent ultraviolet lamps as its light source, simulating the damage caused by sunlight, rain, and dew. The UV weathering chamber uses fluorescent ultraviolet lamps to simulate the effects of sunlight and condensation to simulate dew. The test material is placed in a cycle of alternating light and moisture at a specific temperature to accelerate weathering and obtain the material's weather resistance results. The UV chamber can reproduce the damage that would occur outdoors over months or years in just a few days or weeks. Types of damage include: fading, discoloration, loss of gloss, chalking, cracking, cloudiness, bubbling, embrittlement, strength degradation, and oxidation. The machine includes a spray system.

     

    This UV accelerated aging test chamber can simulate environmental conditions such as ultraviolet radiation, rain, high temperature, high humidity, condensation, and darkness in natural climates. By reproducing these conditions and combining them into a cycle, it automatically completes the required number of cycles. This is the working principle of the UV aging test chamber. During this process, the equipment can automatically monitor the blackboard temperature and water tank temperature; by configuring an irradiance measurement and control device (optional), the light irradiance can be measured and controlled to stabilize the irradiance at 0.76W/m2/340nm or a specified set value, and greatly extend the lamp's service life.

    Light Source:

     

    The light source uses eight 40W imported ultraviolet fluorescent lamps. These lamps are located at the top of the machine. Users can choose UVA-340 or UVB-313 light sources:

     

    The UVA-340 lamp's emission spectrum energy is mainly concentrated at a wavelength of 340nm.

     

    The UVB-313 lamp's emission spectrum is mainly concentrated near a wavelength of 313nm.

     

    We use the UVA-340 lamp, which has an effective lifespan of approximately 1600 hours.

     

    Power Control:

     

    a. Blackboard temperature and condensation temperature are both controlled by a controller.

     

    b. The remaining components are mostly imported electronic components. Irradiance uniformity: ≤4% (at the sample surface). Blackboard temperature monitoring: A standard Pt-100 blackboard temperature sensor is used to accurately control the sample surface temperature during the test. Blackboard temperature setting range: BPT 40-70℃; Blackboard temperature control accuracy: ±0.5℃;

     

    c. Water bath temperature monitoring: During the cyclic test, there is a dark condensation process, which requires the chamber to generate high-temperature saturated water vapor. When the water vapor encounters the relatively cool sample surface, dew will condense on the sample surface. The water bath is located at the bottom of the chamber and has a built-in electric heater. Water bath temperature control range: 40-60℃

    To facilitate heat dissipation and maintenance, the installation location of this equipment must meet the following conditions:

     

    1. Sufficient maintenance space must be maintained between the equipment and adjacent walls or other equipment after installation;

    2. To ensure stable operation and performance of the testing equipment, a location with an annual temperature range of 15℃ to 35℃ and a relative humidity not exceeding 80% should be selected;

    3. The ambient temperature of the installation location should not change drastically;

    4. It should be installed on a level surface (a level should be used to ensure it is level during installation);

    5. It should be installed in a location without direct sunlight;

    6. It should be installed in a well-ventilated location;

    7. It should be installed away from flammable materials, explosives, and high-temperature heat sources;

    8. It should be installed in a dust-free location;

    9. It should be installed as close as possible to a power supply.

     

     

    Structural Overview:

    Both the outer shell and inner chamber of the equipment are made of high-quality SUS304 stainless steel, processed using advanced equipment, and the outer shell surface is powder-coated for a beautiful and smooth finish. The colors are harmonious, and the lines are smooth. This avoids the drawbacks of using aluminum plates with powder coating, which can lead to surface damage after long-term use. The equipment's internal chamber is equipped with a humidifier and heater, a liquid level switch, a blackboard temperature sensor, and eight ultraviolet fluorescent lamps and an ultraviolet radiation meter (optional). High-quality, lockable PU casters are installed at the bottom of the machine, allowing for easy movement to a designated location, where the casters can then be secured.

     

     

     

     

    Precautions:

    1. Ensure a sufficient water supply during equipment operation;

    2. Minimize the time the chamber door is opened during the testing phase;

    3. Non-specialized operators must not operate the equipment;

    4. If you encounter a fault that you cannot resolve yourself, please contact our company;

    5. After a long period of inactivity, carefully check the water supply, power supply, and all components before restarting the equipment. Because ultraviolet radiation is highly harmful to personnel (especially the eyes), operators should minimize their exposure to ultraviolet light (exposure time should be <1 minute).

     

     

    Maintenance, Upkeep, and Inspection:

    1. Keep the chamber clean; prevent dust from entering the chamber.

    2. Avoid external impacts to the chamber.

    3. Keep chemicals away from this equipment.

    4. Maintain a dry laboratory environment.

    5. Never set the temperature above the maximum temperature specified for this equipment.

    6. Check the circuit control system before each startup.

    7. Confirm the power supply and grounding wire.

    8. Ensure the power cord is properly connected according to specifications and grounded.

    9. Check the over-temperature protector; it should be set correctly (it is factory-adjusted and generally does not require adjustment).

    10. Install a ventilation fan in the laboratory to maintain indoor ventilation.

    11. During spray tests, carefully observe the water level in the tank and replenish tap water as needed.

    12. The wastewater discharge system of the equipment must be properly installed.

    13. Disconnect the power supply after the test.

    14. After each test, remove the sample and clean the inside of the equipment.
